Csézy - Candlelight
This song won the National final (Eurovíziós Dalverseny 2008) in Hungarian, but will be song in the contest in Engrish. The clip is the Engrish version. Be warned, in the comments on youtube someone who liked Celine Dion compared her to Csézy, I can see the comparison. If you, like me, do not like Celine Dion, this clip may be painful.
' Candlelight, Hold me ‘till the morning shine', you know that's dangerous.... leaving a candle lit and going to sleep... that can set out house alight, unlike this song which sets nothing alight. dull boring Disney song. I was over it in the first 5 seconds. Sadly, this has a good chance of winning... damn it.
For the retro clip I am going to 1998 when Hungary got their lowest result..... just. 23rd with ' A Holnap Már Ném Lesz Szomorú' by Charlie. it is only slightly worse than the 22nd Czaba Szigeti got in 1995.
