Dear Santa Maria College
Jul. 26th, 2012 08:12 pmHi,
I would like to know if the students at your school understand the conditions of the 50 cent fare on public transport. I ask this after sitting next to one of your students at Cockburn station this morning.
A number of people boarded at Cockburn with me, including a few adults that stood. When I looked up from my novel at Murdoch, the young lady in your school's uniform was still sitting.
I asked her is she was going to stand, and she turned her head and ignored me
I asked again if she would stand and she said 'I don't have to'
I then informed her that yes she does, it is a condition of her 50 cent fare, that she give up her seat when adults are standing.
I asked her which school she went to and she refused to tell me. A short search on the internet when I got to work though showed that her uniform matched yours and her getting off at Bull Creek would match your location
I did attempt to get her photo should you could identify the your lady, however she covered her face.
I can tell you that she had brown hair, she wore and open-ended silver nose ring, make up (that caked around said nose ring) and no hat, though is the hat required for your winter uniform? I don't know.
I don't think her attitude was becoming of a lady, and I am sure it does not represent the values that your institution holds.
I think it is a waste when I teach the children in my extended family, including my god-children, respect for their elders, and your Catholic facility does not instill the same respect in your students. It disappoints me
Thankyou for your time.
