This song has been torturing me. i started the review yesterday and then decided to redo my study. then when i put everything together, it was too hard to get the sound in, so I left the review. I did it all today only to lose it just before posting so here I go again... I will try not to let the annoyance of almost finishing all the write up effect my redoing of the review. This will not be more catty than the original... not sure it could be really...

*sigh*

Belarus/Belarus

3+2 = Butterflies.

3+2 actually won their national selection with a song called Far Away, but at the last minute the Belorussian delegation decided to change the song to this. Is it better? in a word... no. I think this song tries to be very Lloyd-Webber and gets as far as... Disney... Yes this is the first major Disney song of this years Eurovision. If this song turns up in the next Disney/Pixar film, don't blame me because it is not my fault, blame Belarus... all of it.

Belarus has a history of sending crap to Eurovision. Sure, last years winner for Norway was originally from Belarus, but he left while the going was good. good on him, you don't want to be associated with the crap from Belarus. atleast this year Belarus is trying to do everything right though. they got some pretty people, who may be able to sing without pitch augmentation, they have the advantage of the neighbourhood voting (Former Soviet Bloc), they try to be very mush like the previous Eurovision acts (some of whom almost got near winning) and they even had someone from Russia write the song (I cant remember his name and I really don't care), so this song can go top 5. If it wins though, I think Eurovision will lose all its credibility....

In short though, no matter how many times I hear this song, the only effect it has on me is... putting me to sleep. it is dull, boring and expected. I hate when I know what the line will sound like...

I decided to make an example of the crap the Belarus sent to Eurovision by making the retor clip Angelica Agurbash before i remembered the similarity. Like 3+2, Angelica Agurbash didn't go to Eurovision with the song that she won the national final with (Boys and Girls), instead she went with 'Love me tonight', and that was a great choice... it came... where did it come? oh it didnt even get through the semi. 13th in the semi. boo hoo. hopefully 3+2 will crash and burn like this did.
