you know how i like my poker? well i no longer go to APL events. why? because the guy who runs the APL events in cannington, Kevin, see he got fed up with the overhiked franchise fees to be with APL, so after bringing APL to perth in the first place, he has now started a splinter league called On Tilt

the venues he dealt with with APL have decided to stay with him rather than stay with APL and when he gets his new tables, poker at cannington will go crazy again. atm there is only free league which i dont mind because i am too tightarsed to pay to play.

i think the greyhounds like it too because now until kevin gets the new tables, there is no cash table so everyone plays on the greyhounds 'casino' tables or they spend more money on the dogs and alcohol

Kevin is also looking at getting country franchises out and just more small events because big events are too hard in perth and lots of small events just build up loyalty. i mean the dogs was never a huge event except on a regional final night when 180 odd would show. over east they expect atleast 100 else they wont bother.

if a venue combined karaoke and On Tilt, i think i would be in heaven.

I think that's a great idea! Not only would you be in heaven, I think from a business perspective it could be something to set it apart from others in certain venues and pull in females of our age group, which would then in turn potentially pull in others.

Why not suggest it to him? He may know of the venues which one might be willing to try the combination occasionally.

Alternately, why not suggest to one of the karaoke venues to talk to him about poker?
