in saying all this though, I must note that the odds have change heaps since my last post on odds, in fact some I started calculating last night and had to adjust today after they change so significantly, like the favourite from this semi has changed from Sweden to Ukraine, seriously though, who puts money on this shit.

so with Ukraine as favourite, I will mention that they were one of the faves last year, but in 2004, not only were they one of the faves, but they were the winner. so anyway this is about as good as the Ukraine gets:

'every beginnings the start of an end' and as soon as everyone has got over Eurovision, then the preparation starts for the Eurovision Dance contest in August/September. once we are over that it is the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in November/December and then when that finishes, countries start announcing their Eurovision entries for the following year

Gee, you were leading me into it slowly - here I was thinking that it'd be over after this, but there's a dance competition? And a Junior competition? Gee, suddenly the world of eurovision expands even more.

well this is the finish Paso Doble, they did two dances. there rumba wasnt bad, this was way cool and I love the song they danced to (it took me a bit to realise what it was)

they each got to do two dances of about 3 min in total and well I am not a dance expert, but I enjoyed it... not as tragic as normal Eurovision though

Well, not so bad, but my dancing background is mostly bush dancing, with a bit of cerok (which I can never remember how to spell) and a little bit of ballroom.

Interestingly enough, and the festivals we run we often show a dance to some music labeled "Zorba dance tune" - I didn't know where it was from (though I wouldn't be surprised if we picked it up in Greece). It's danced by people in that shiny silver air condictioning ducts, so it looks like giant slinkies dancing. We were teaching a few locals how to do it just last week.

There's that and the sharing dance, which is more aimed at kids - where some people fight over balloons, but in the end start to share (it's always more fun, to share with everyone).

So when it comes to dances, I've probably seen worse.

I managed to escape ours on account of being too Geeky and kinda isolated at the time (loong story), though I remember being dissapointed afterwards. I don't know why.... ;)
