Eurovision 2018: Sweden
Mar. 26th, 2018 08:04 pmAppearances: 57
Wins: 6
Selection method: Competition (Melodifestivalen)
Vote: Jury and public selection combined in a rather convoluted method that only makes sense to the Swedish.
Winner: Benjamin Ingrosso
Song: Dance You Off.
This song grows on you like a mould on the random curry in the fridge at work. You would not willingly even look at the container, but if it gets in the way of your lunch you fear you will have to. And this is getting in the way of my lunch with lyrics like “Treating you good, we were gold; I dug you like you were treasure”. Fucking Shakespeare right there.
Sweden has given the world some of the highest grossing song writers who have written some of the most famous and popular songs in the last couple decades. At least one good song writer would improve this song 10 fold. It is one of those song you hear if you get to the nightclub too early and before they start playing the ‘good’ stuff.
Benjamin may appear to think he is the Swedish Michael Jackson. Fun fact: he and his mum (actor and singer Pernilla Wahlgren) performed a medley of Jackson 5 songs in 2009. Maybe he is the Swedish Michael Jackson…
Michael Jackson and the Jackson 5 made it big in 1967. This is what Sweden was doing in 1967
