Blanca Palmona is a New Flamenco artist that apparently raised a duck in her bathtub as a child according to her official Eurovision bio. She won both jury votes and that public vote at Benidorm Fest 2023 - the Spanish national selection, and is bringing a song that is wildly popular with Eurovision fans. Spain has really started to bring it in the last few years.
EAEA starts with a a stunning vocal that brings the audience closer to listen to her. Instruments are used sparingly and it is carried with vocals. As 'New Flamenco' it has elements of flamenco like the beat but guitar is absent. The vocal is like the calling kind of vocal that is like the vocal use when vocals are used in flamenco, but also a cross between this and an Arabic vocal. Before we call out cultural appropriation, flamenco, despite being regarded as Spanish, is gypsy music. Just saying.

This year was Blanca's second attempt to get to Eurovision after finishing 5th in the national selection last year. Two is not always good. Serafín went to Eurovision twice and the first in 1992 was his better result at 14s. Blanca should finish higher than this
