Eurovision 2023: Lithuania

passionpopMonika Linkytė is a genuine Eurovision repeat offender having being Lithuania representative (with Vaidas Baumila) in 2015 after she tried to get through as a solo artist every year from 2010 to 2014. Monika only made it through this year on countback. Despite coming second in the heats and third in the semi, Monika finished in a tie with Ruta MUR each on 22 points, who had won both her heat and final and won the public vote in the final, however it was the jury vote which was used as a tie-break. Monika was preferred by 5 of the 9 jurors and thus is this years Eurovision entrant for Lithuania.
Stay contains a line of 'Čiūto Tūto', which is used in folklore when magical incantation is being used in the story. It makes one wonder if the premise of the song is I can't be loved so I am going to put a spell on you to stay with me beyond your will. if this is the premise it is that and the fact that this song is a little dull that is bringing it down. This has an amazing vocal and could do well, but it is the everything else bringing it down.
Instead of casting spells perhaps Monika could just accept that things are over like Linas and Simona did in 2004, sure they didn't make the it from the semi with their song, which was deserved, but it had a little more maturity... or something
