Eurovision 2022: Semi 2
May. 12th, 2022 01:04 pmIf the leaked results of the first semi are accurate, and the bookmakers believe they are, then the results of Semi 2 are purely academic and the contest has descended into a political farce. At this point Ukraine could defecate on the Eurovision stage and still win.
Regardless, where are the songs to expect for Semi 2
Finland - The Rasmus - "Jezebel" (200/1) - this song rocks. Performance appear to lack personality
Israel - Michael Ben David - "I.M" (400/1) - This song probably has an audience and I am not it. It is energetic at least.
Serbia - Konstrakta - "In corpore sano" (100/1) - this song is the most interesting song in this semi. If it doesn't qualify it is all politics.
Azerbaijan - Nadir Rustamli - "Fade to Black" (400/1) - there is little interesting about this one.
Georgia - Circus Mircus - "Lock Me In" (400/1) lots of bright colours and movement which will appeal to people on certain substances.
Malta - Emma Muscat - "I Am What I Am" (350/1) - Spoilt little rich girl doesn't quite understand the idea of buying a ticket to Eurovision. You would think the heiress to a fashion empire could get the backing dancers better outfits. This could be messy which would be beautiful.
San Marino - Achille Lauro - "Stripper" (225/1) - this song has a following, especially in Italy and will go down well in the venue
Australia - Sheldon Riley - "Not the Same" (200/1) - Does not appear to have changed the performance since Australia Decides. I am still pissed that this got through over Voyager
Cyprus - Andromache - "Ela" (Έλα) (225/1) - It feels the wrong tempo. It is qualifies it is will be filler
Ireland - Brooke - "That's Rich" (400/1) - this could be a dark-horse. it appeals to an younger audience.
North Macedonia - Andrea - "Circles" (400/1) - warbling through another filler if it qualifies.
Estonia - Stefan - "Hope" (200/1) - Pretty boy should qualify. This will compete with the other country toned songs in the final and will probably do better
Romania - WRS - "Llámame" (400/1) - um... he can dance... appeals to the same audience as Israel.
Poland - Ochman - "River" (50/1) - Boy looks far too clean cut. if he nails the vocals though this will easily make the final.
Montenegro - Vladana - "Breathe" (400/1) - good vocalist deserving better than 400/1 but the song is a bit poo
Belgium - Jérémie Makiese - "Miss You" (250/1) - watching the rehearsal I cannot see any of the 4 backing dancers singing and there are a lot of vocals coming through. interesting
Sweden - Cornelia Jakobs - "Hold Me Closer" (8/1) - Has not changed since Melodifestivalen. Is a good song but needed a performance
Czech Republic - We Are Domi - "Lights Off" (250/1) - This is a good dance song but will likely have similar vocal issues to what LUM!X and Pia Maria had in the first semi.
