Most Entries: San Marino 11 (Czech Republic 9)
Bookies favourite: San Marino 150/1 (Czech Republic 300/1)
Achille Lauro has gone to San Remo in his native Italy, and failing to win there in 2019, 2020, and this year, he went to the tiny micro-nation of San Marino to see if he could go to Eurovision through them and succeeded. We Are Domi Could have competed in Czech Republic, where Dominika Hašková, in Norway where the rest of the band is from, or in the UK where they met. In the Czech Rebublic they smashed it with the international televote and the international Jury which is a weird voting system and we will see if it works
Achille Lauro is badged as a rap/hip hop star but he doesn't like to be put in that box. This song is definitely more rock with a Joan Jett sound and a Depeche Mode reference. It is even more retro that the late 90s electronica sound of We Are Domi. Though Rock has had more recent success at Eurovision, Electronica might come up one day.
In the end though we judge by what we are given. Achille Lauro has given us his live performance, which is good but not perfect. We Are Domi have given us a fantastic video clip which tells a story and draws you into the song. If it was judge by the presentation clips, We Are Domi are easy winners, despite the bookmakers and more with OGAE
This round goes to We Are Domi
