A Whinge about Poms

passionpop According to the Australian national museum in Canberra, Pom comes from the word pomegranate, which was rhyming slang for immigrant. Since 1788 the poms haven’t stopped coming here. Pomegranate is an apt word do describe English immigrants though, I mean they are the biggest pain in the arse to get the smallest amount of goodness out of them, just like the pom in your work place. Though there are some good poms out here who work and even dislike other poms, for the most part, most of Joondalup and Rockingham should go back to where they came from.
There are levels of annoying poms. There are the poms you can put up with who are only annoying to watch the cricket with when England is winning. The second are the poms that come out here for a holiday, which one can put up with because we know we will get rid of the bastards. Then there are the poms that come out here and expect to be the manager at your work because they are better than you because they are English. This is the first tier of the fvck off and die poms.
We all know a few of these poms. They come out here, demand that we pay for their health and that of their family. They expect our government to subsidise their kids education, help them buy a home and even if they do end up getting that, they still whinge.
They whinge about the weather, they whinge about the politics, they whinge about the people then they whinge about the boat people. Seriously! What do they think they are?
I had a pom tell me once that she had to wait over two years in the UK before her and her family’s application for Australian residency was approved,. This is funny because it is also about the same length of time that refugees will spend in our detention centres. Maybe we can get them to trade places.
The worst poms of all though are the haemorrhoids. They are just like the third group, except they whinge and whinge and then they go back to the UK. Just when you have got used to the fact that you have got rid of them they come back, because it is too cold in the UK. Then their first summer back here though they start making plans to move back to the UK again. They’re pains in the arse.
Our immigration needs to change. The ‘Skilled migrants’ coming from the UK don’t have any skills other than being pains, so isn’t it better to let in unskilled migrants, or refugees? At least all the jobs no one wants can have a chance of being given to them. It is the poms that take ‘our jobs’, not the reffos. I highly doubt that the immigration system will change while we have a Welshie as Prime minister. Maybe we should start sending useless poms back to the UK, starting with Gillard.
