Is nine hours in Adelaide enough, or is it actually too much? I recently flew to the city of churches, where a week before street preachers in the city were banned, but they were still going at it and pedestrians in the Rundle Mall cared as much for them as they always have. I was there to see a footy game and then get out of town. With time to kill, I got the feel for Adelaide.

I have to admit, Adelaide airport is very nice, it is spacious and well designed. It could handle a lot more planes then the tens that go through there in a day and with a few small extensions and it would be able to look and act like a real airport, but then the only time people would want to see it is when they are leaving.

There are many buses in Adelaide that go to the airport, most of the ‘J ‘series appear to go there and then head towards the city. This is a cute thing about Adelaide, they have the potential to expand their bus services to over 45000 different routes by using letters and numbers in their route numbers, but what would be the point because there will never be that many people in Adelaide to move around.

The highlight of Adelaide is always the Rundle balls. I love civic ‘art’ at the best of time, it always makes me laugh at what councils will pay for, but having two large metal balls one on top of the other in main town mall, only the Rundle mall can have the Rundle balls.

The low light is probably the gene pool, or possibly puddle. How are so many ugly people all found in the same town. No offence to people from Adelaide but seriously, the federal government needs to fund some plastic surgery to your population, that or get mass sperm donation in to improve the gene pool. As visitors leave, they should be required to leave some genetic material in a jar.

I also must say that the beggars are quick in Adelaide. I had been in town not three hours when one had hit me up for cash. Do I look like an ATM? Just because I am better looking than the average of the town doesn’t make me rich.

I left the town soon after seeing my football team win, which they did well. Afterwards when we were in the Virgin Australia (airlines) lounge, So was my team, so I got to see them all, and maybe a bit too much of one player who showed a team-mate something on either his left thigh or buttocks. Thanks for sharing

So nine hours is the perfect amount of time to spend in Adelaide. They should use this as marketing, I can see it now ‘Adelaide, Australia’s favourite stop-over’. Remember that if you do go there though, please leave a cup of baby gravy on your way out.. Thanks.

Not sure how I feel about leaving genetic material in a cup for those guys, mind you I will have to go one day just to see what the place is like. I have a feeling it isn't any more exciting than Perth though
