Eurovision Semi One
May. 25th, 2010 09:18 pmWith just a few hours until the first Semi (which will be aired in Australia on Friday night), I thought I would run through the acts in the semi... acts... that word makes it sound like a circus... not far off really...
Moldova: Sunstroke Project & Olia Tira - 'Run Away' - yes you should
Russia: Peter Nalitch & Friends - 'Lost and Forgotten' - if only this was the case... vodka will help.
Estonia: Malcolm Lincoln - 'Siren' - I am surprised the odds are 150/1. the odds should be longer.
Slovakia: Kristina Pelakova - 'Horehronie' talking about odds, this is a favorite... to not even qualify for the final. Note; out of the semi 7 out of the 17 songs wont Qualify, ten songs go to the final.
Finland: Kuunkuiskaajat - 'Työlki Ellää' - the name is the only cool thing about this song
Latvia: Aisha - 'What for?' - exactly, what for!
Serbia: Milan Stanković - 'Ovo Je Balkan' - should poll well
Bosnia & Herzegovina - Vukašin Brajić - 'Thunder and Lightning' - I wonder if he will learn to say 'Th' before the event.
Poland - Marcin Mroziński - 'Legenda' - in his own lunchaboxa
Belgium - Tom Dice - 'Me and My Guitar' - yes both should walk out of the venue and not stop walking
Malta - Thea Garrett - 'My Dream' - my dream is a eurovision without her
Albania - Juliana Pasha - 'It's All About You' - again, should poll well. in this company it is a quality song all it needs is a quality performance.
Greece - Giorgos Alkaios & Friends - 'OPA' Proof that when you are drunk enough, you always think you can dance.
Portugal - Filipa Azevedo - 'Há Dias Assim' - the warbling Mariah Casey wanna be.
Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia - Gjoko Taneski - 'Jas Ja Imam Silata' - the 80's are coming back... or did they only just get to Macedonia...
Belarus - 3+2 - 'Butterflies' - Disney has alot to answer for
Iceland - Hera Björk - 'Je Ne Sais Quoi' I believe this woman walking started the seismic activity in Iceland, and now she is bringing that to the European mainland.
I would pick a top 5 to get through, but I am naming 3 only. Serbia, Greece and Albania.
