a dollar each way
Sep. 7th, 2008 02:31 pmI couldn't watch Geelong kill St Kilda, i don't think the Saints deserve it too much, I mean it is not like they didn't expect a thrashing, but still...
so at half time i started looking up the odds for the Brownlow, only cause in the second quarter dad asked me who i thought would win it... and I am now consumed
the favourite according to centrebet is still ablett (gfc), son of god and therefore he must be Jesus... though instead of you putting money in the plate, you get $2.20 if he wins, which i doubt atm.
second is Bartell (gfc)and Harvey (nmfc) at $4.25
Cooney (wbfc) is paying $15 and Judd (cfc) is still paying $17 as is reiwoldt (skfc). black (bbffc), corey (gfc) richardson (rfc) and selwood (gfc) are paying $21 which rounds out the top ten.
the longer odds get more interesting. I doubt a cat will win only because so many of them have a good chance, however If I had ten bucks to spend, I would seriously consider Kirk from Sydney at $67.
palmer, who won the NAB rising star is paying $101, though the runner up, Cyril Roili doesn't rate a mention. this made me think, What about Hawthorn.
Hawthorns first mention on Centrebet is Bateman and Sewell, who are paying $251. bateman inparticular is a very good bet at that price. the next four get a mention at $1001 and these include Dew and Roughead... again, I would consider these boys. the first indiginous player to get 100 goals in a home and away season, Buddylenko, also doesnt rate a mention.
as for who will actually win, I dunno, but $5 each way on kirk (place $17.50), roughead (place $251) and bateman (place 63.50) is possibly a good start.

Date: 2008-09-07 09:29 am (UTC)I'd have thought either Sewell or Mitchell from the Hawks both being great performers, played the majority of games, and most importantly, midfielders. Hodge or Buddy for a non midfielder
