there has been a heap of controversy about this song because it is Frances first entry into Eurovision that is not in French (except for two sad lines). their have been cries of 'if the French are not going to keep out language alive, who is?' and the answer is... well a number of African nations for a start. however I doubt it would help if this song was sung in French.
This song sounds like cheesy bad karaoke music. I would say this is a 'musical experiment' from France, but then that would imply it was musical, rather than sad. I am guessing that, in his Osama bin Laden beard, he is meant to be funny... but he is just.... French and well the only good thing to come out of France was croissants... and profiteroles.... and gateau (not Gabrielle though... he should have stayed in France) and.... Christopher Lambert.... but then he is actually American Hasn't
France been great in the history of Eurovision. With acts such as Fanny and Cocktail Chic representing them, but for todays retro clip I am going to none of those. instead I am going to 1990, which was the last time the French entered Eurovision with a song with an English title, thought it was sung in French. I’m
Looking for a band today
I see the Chivers anyway
Through my eyes
OH oh oh i'm
I’m alone in life to say
I love the Chivers anyway
‘Cause Chivers look divine
Look away
They try to find the Milky Way
They love to drink it everyday
No no no you
You and I, It's like you said
I’m not a Chivers anyway
You look fine
Oh oh oh I
I’m alone in life to say
I love the Chivers anyway
Cause Chivers look divine
Look away
They try to find the Milky Way
I
Toi et moi C'est comme tu sais
Comment mon coeur a succombe
Oh oh oh I'm
Looking for a band today
I see the Chivers anyway
I ‘ll be a Chivers guy some day
In my mind
