Eurovision 2023: Iceland

Diljá entered Ísland Got Talent in 2015 when she was 12 and since then has been living in Denmark and getting singing lessons. Back in Iceland with a song produced by Pálmi Ragnar Ásgeirsson who also produced Iceland's 2015 entry Unbroken, which failed to make the final. Hopefully Diljá finishes better.
Power was performed in Icelandic in the semis of Söngvakeppnin 2023, as is required by the rules of the competition, however the Final performance was performed in English, as the requirement in the final is to sing in the language you intend to perform the song in at Eurovision. Neither version is superior and in the end the song is a fairly standard Eurovision dance-pop. At best this should expect a mid-range finish.
Iceland has less than 400 000 people yet 132 entries were forwarded to compete for their Eurovision entry this year. Every year this tiny country puts its best foot forward for Eurovision but when it comes to wins they are All Out of Luck
