Eurovision Review: United Kingdom
May. 2nd, 2005 06:55 pmI have been wanting to review Turkey for the past few days, but the link to the Turkish clip has been down on the BBC website, so I am reviewing the next best act, the UK. yeah I know the UK is nowhere near Turkey, but with the very Sertab sound of the UK entry you might think otherwise. so onto Javine - "Touch my fire"
(unrelated song of the evening) Celtic ray by Van morrison
Ireland, Scotland, England and Wales
I can hear the mothers' voices calling
"Children, children, children"
Listen to me! I want to go home.
Listen to me! I want to go home.
I've been away from the Ray too long
I've been away from the Ray too long
I saw the Critisism given to Javine when she won the UK national final and said "thankyou England", So I wanted to make sure all the parties involved in the UK got a fair mention. Getting back to the Song in review, this song gets quite catchy after the 6th or 7th time you have heard it, fortunately you shouldn't have to listen to it six or seven times... just the once in Eurovision will be plenty for most.
I think alot of Eurovpe is still smarting over the war in iraq and alot of other political stuff to give the UK a chance at winning Eurovision for a little while... and when it comes to touching anything, Javine I am not going near that... get someone else to do it Javine - "Touch my fire"... no thanks
