Lord of the Lost started as a solo project for Chris Harms and he has apparently tried to go to Eurovision with Lord of the Lost a number of times. The influences for Chris and the band include Rammstein, Nine Inch Nails, Marilyn Manson and Lady Gaga, but listening to the song, the vocals have a definite Bowie influence, except when he screams. Blood and Glitter came 5th with the international jury in the German national final Unser Lied für Liverpool. 7 of the jurors gave the song a total of 31 points, however the Finnish juror, Joel Hokka from Nu Metal band Blind Channel gave Blood and Glitter the full 12 points. The public liked Blood and Glitter a little more than the jury and Lord of the Lost won the phone and sms voting and was second in the online to Ikke Hüftgold "Lied mit gutem Text", which had it made it to Eurovision would have been a Eurovision classic. Blood and Glitter also scored 7 times the amount of votes from the public compared with the Jury winner Will Church with "Hold on". Take that international Jury.
From Rock to something completely different with a little peace. Germany has only won Eurovision twice and the first time was in 1982 with something that could not be more different from this years song if it tried.
