Nadir Rustamli son the second season of The Voice of Azerbaijan in 2021 and was internally selected to perform at Eurovision in 2022. Jérémie Makiese won the ninth season of The Voice Belgique in 2021 and was also an internal selection. Both songs about the obsession of a relationship demise, but Nadir's song it is still falling and he wants it to continue whereas Jérémie just wants to be over it, and the genres match the point the singers are in.

Jérémie's song is a R&B/pop song which still somehow need to fit a chorus and dangers on the stage. Nadir gives us a powerballad, but the pre-chorus sounds a lot like Dami Im's Sound of Silence. Though blatantly ripping off a previous Eurovision act is a drink in the Eurovision drinking game, the song is not really worth even that drink. Maybe he should have ripped off his Voice coach, Eldar Gasimov, winning Eurovision song instead.

In the end everything depends on performance. Jérémie is a gospel singer who has the potential for the better performance with his urban hymn. It doesn't mean the rising Soccer star will will give it to us and though neither song is great, but Jérémie's is the better.

This round goes to Belgium
