Selection: Internal
Wins:0
2020: Natalia Gordienko – Poison
2021: Natalia Gordienko - Sugar
Current Bookmakers:17th
Natalia Gordienko went to Eurovision in 2006 with Arsenium and Connect-R. Loca which was not a stellar moment in Natalia’s career. She was probably the reason that song got most of its 22 points. It is good that that song did not end her career.
This year’s song is just fun and trashy which is completely different form the 80s power ballad that Natalia won the Finala națională 2020 with. Both songs were written with Dimitris Kontopoulos and Philipp Kirkorov, the later known for representing Russia in Eurovision in 1995 and writing Belarus’ 2007 entry. They are both very different and I don’t think Sugar would have won a national selection. It is fun though and I hope it does well.
Though not the highest finishing song from Moldova, 2010 gave us their most legendary entry. Finishing 10th was epic sax guy and… and some other stuff…
