Dark moody ethic ballad verses birdman. I mean serious WTF Portugal. It is not that I don't understand what the song and performance are about, more that I don't want to. I feel like a wanker ever suggesting that there may be an explanation. There is no explanation, there is just fluid.
Juries are meant to protect the nation from being humiliated at Eurovision, and in the Semi's the jury in Portugal got it right. In the final they fell into line with the public in the final. This is no "Amar pelos dois", there is not even love for one with this. Georgia had no Jury to protect them but Portugal. Why? Next year less coolaid and more jury.
The less said the better really. Georgia would otherwise be considered not great, but next to Portugal it is a fucking godsend. I am going Georgia.
