Eurovision 2018: Ukraine
Apr. 19th, 2018 07:34 pmAppearances: 14
Wins: 2
Selection method: National Selection Євробачення. Національний відбір
Vote: Public vote and Jury
Winner: MELOVIN
Song: Under The Ladder
This starts a little pitchy and that may come down to confidence or the fact that the Ukraine likes to send shit to Eurovision because sometimes shit wins (see 2016). This is not as bad as Jamala was, but it is not sounding like a winner
The jury and the public appeared to disagree throughout the selection process. MELOVIN only narrowly beat Tayanna, who had a more Eurovision ready performance and was the marginally better song overall.
MELOVIN lists his passions as music, perfumery and chemistry. Well his music stinks so he will need to turn to drugs… so it is logical. He only made it to Eurovision on the second attempt because the organisers of Vidbir saw how many consecutive years he competed in X-Factor before winning. They sent him to Eurovision so they wouldn’t have to deal with him again.
I don’t understand how Ukraine has managed to qualify for every final since they first entered the Eurovision Song contest. The crap sent in 2009 certainly did not deserve to go through.
