Romania have given Eurovision a 1980’s style rock power-ballad along the lines of Bonnie Tyler. Ms Tyler finished 19th at Eurovision for the UK, but she didn’t have to make her way from the semis. Romania could be pushing shit up-hill in Portugal this year.
This has a better vocal than Bonnie did in the Eurovision final. The national final performance by The Humans had Cristina Caramarcu starting off looking like a Sith and then going full reveal before strutting the stage like a chicken in a short red dress. The performance will probably need to be refined for Eurovision, or not. Chicken is apparently popular in Portugal… Delicious.
This performance will likely be far from Piri-piri, which is a shame because Romania usually gives Eurovision good songs. Sending average songs is better for Romania though. They could never afford to host Eurovision, hell hey can barely afford to compete.
If The Humans use the same reveal as they did in the semi, it will still not compare with the reveals of 2003. Like 2003 though the reveals could be the best part of the song.
