Singapore is an interesteing tourist strap, and lts face it, thats really all it is. ok it has fabulous public transport and amazing food, but everything is designed to get money out of foreigners and singapore is not ashamed by this.

the best example of milking the tourists is the two casinos. locals have to pay almost $100 to enter, but foreigners get in for free. it is also near impossible to find a table game with less than a $25 minimum bet and even the pokies suck your $2 notes dry and claim to be 5c games but demand a minimum of 30 5c credits be played at a time

but the people are the most fascinating. I noticed that very few wear necklaces, and when they do they are thin chains. bangles and watches are rare too. they are also very modest with what they wear. women will show leg, but rarely cleavage and never mid-rift. it isnt that the people can&'t be titillated, tits are out tere if you know where to find them



cultural tits...

singapore culturaly is interesting too. they appear to 'borrow' from any and every culture, but they don't know when to stop. statues of liberty, kangaroos and kiwi birds and even cuisine are displayed everywhere. multicultural monoculture doesn't even begin to describe singapore, though it is a relatively peaceful little cultural melting pot

but the public transport is amazing. the worst wait i have had for a train is 6 minutes. this is a country that invests in building. it is not like australia that waits for businesses to build infrastructure for the people, it goes out and constantly updates and builds train stations. it isnt one of those things that needs to be dont as an election promise, it is just done.

so i will miss the trains and i will miss the amazing buns that the lady in central shops above Clarke quay sells, but other than that, meh, it is a stop over
