Last night I went to a pash party. it is like an adultshop or noisy nights party, or as I like to describe it, it is like a tupperware party: same amount of plastic, more moving parts. anyways, it was out in Ellenbrook and the party itsself was great and I had great conversation and, yeah. loved it
hated Pash
firstly the girl came in at 7.45. the party was due to start at 7.30. shouldnt she have been there at 7.15 to set up?
secondly, she was rude to the host (the person whos house it was at) in that she wouldnt pass things to her to look at, when she had finally set up the Pash rep asked 'ok can we start now' in a tone that made my friend retorted 'i dont know, you were the one who showed up late', and before she took the hostess' order, she had already packed up her kit... then got all huffy when my mate asked to look at stuff
before this order there was already over $600 in sales so there is no need for that there was also no need for the rep and her assiatant (trainee) to bitch about the hostess and the party, IN FRONT OF US
thirdly: every though everything was being delievered to the hostess (my friends) house, ever order was charged a $6.45 postage and handling. on none of the brochures or Pash invites was this mentioned. if you wanted it delivered direct to your house it was $15. thats excessive seeing most people ordered lingerie
thats $58.05 in postage alone 15kgs from sydney to ellenbrook doesnt even cost $50 by registered post.
fourthly, the party was originally booked from the pash party at a friends hens night in November. the pash rep wouldnt book it for most of December and part of Jan and was booked out for November so our hostess booked it for early feb (out of a choice of that or the week of the wedding of the previous hostess), but had to move it due to illness. it was implied when she moved it that because of the delay in being able to get a booking, the $50 voucher given to the hostess of the previous party, would still be vaild at our current hostesses party. when the previous hostess tried to use it however, she was told it is a strictly 3 month window that she can use it in.
as a side note here, a couple weeks after the cancellation, the current hostess put a request through the website to rebook and heard nothing, then, two weeks after that went to another Pash party and mentioned to the Pash rep there that she hadnt heard back from her website request and was told by the Pash rep 'yeah I am doing that party, sorry I havent got back to you but it has been busy'. no call or email.
fifthly (but wait theres more): the Hostess, after getting over $600 in sales form her guests, got a $25 voucher, but she couldnt put it to an item, it had to be a complete sale so she could get multiple items that amounted to up to $25, but couldnt put the $25 to an $100 piece of lingerie. there was nothing in her hostess pack to tell her this
sixthly: the rep brought an assistant to train. the assistant sat through the whole display. two of the gusts shared an armchair (not a couch, and arm chair) and another guest stood. our hostess gave up her seat for her guest, but the reps assistant didnt give up hers.
I am not being nit picky. If I was being nit picky I would have mentioned that the brochure is over a year old and a number of items have since been discontinued. that only 1 bullet has an adjustable speed, all the rest (including bullets within other toys) were off/on. also the quality of the lingerie was poor. the corsets were so poor a material that both the corsets she had to try on were already damaged. also no one received receipts to confirm what they had bought, not even people who purchased by credit card. this is particularly annoying for the hostess who does know what crap she ended up getting with her voucher, seeing it was stuff she didnt really want anyways.
seventhly and finally: the hostess gift. if you have a nutrimetics party, as the hostess you get a gift pack and the value is about (retail) $15-25. our hostess was offered one of 3 opened tubes, we presume were from the reps own display pack, a single use c0ck ring or a one use packet of pop ricks things.... retail value $4
in the end, we feel ripped off to the tune of about $150
