all i want for Xmas

so I have been looking around for Xmas gifts for myself, because i am running out of other people to get them for, and I have decided that there are three things I am interested in buying me

1) a notebook. just something reasonably simple. basically it would be nifty to have when i am housesitting rather than taking my PC around the place. it would be nice for maybe torrenting, msn/icq (coz i prefer icq over MSN anyway) intarwebs and email. simple. mmm wirelessly connecting for a lounge room...

2) a gps after mine was stolen earlier this year. needs to have the 2009 maps.

3) 1TB external hard-drive. my 320Gb is almost full.

I also wanna get out of this as cheap as possible so when the 'sales person' at harvey norman pushes a $380 gps on me when they have a $197 Navman and he tells me they both have the latest maps, I leave the store. no sale.

They might be cheaper after Xmas, of course... I reckon...

1. A nice cheap, small netbook. Or a cheap average laptop. No point getting an expensive medium sized netbook.

2. The current APC magazine has some GPS reviews, but they're more than $200. There have been plenty of ~$200 specials, Tomtom One's etc. on this year's maps recently... A Navman? Bah!
