2008:
Che tacere non sa quando
Guardo l'odio che c'è
Il dolore la povertà
Mi rivedo bambino io
Che correvo nel blu
Era stupendo
Volare via
Sfidare il vento la fantasia
La tua mano e la mia
Nella stessa poesia
Era stupendo
Ma una notte vedrai
Dal destino uscirò giuro
Se la vita ci aspetterà
Torneremo laggiù
Sarà stupendo
Volare via
Sfidare ancora la fantasia
E poi la tua mano e la mia
Nella stessa poesia
Era stupendo
Era stupendo
Perché non c'è pace finché
Tutti pensano a sé
Era stupendo
Era stupendo
There’s a part of me
That can’t keep quiet
When I look at the hatred which is here
Pain, poverty
I see myself again as a child
Running in the blue
It was wonderful to fly away
To challenge the wind, the fantasy
Your hand and mine
In the same poem
It was wonderful
But one night you’ll see
I’ll run away from destiny, I swear
If life will wait for us
We’ll return down there
It will be wonderful to fly away
To challenge again the fantasy
And then your hand and mine
In the same poem
It was wonderful
It was wonderful
Because there’s no peace
Until everyone will think of themselves
It was wonderful to fly away
To challenge the wind, the fantasy
Your hand and mine
In the same poem
It was wonderful
It was wonderful
this starts as a nice elegant ballad and the singer isnt bad either, but then about 1min 20 into it, it goes all 80's tacky on me. the instruments kick in and loses its sweetness... like an italian, even a swiss italian, could be sweet. (no offence terrycat and
grassynoel, but you know its true)
for the final retro act, we go back to the first Eurovision. Lys Assia with 'Refrain' this sounds like it came out of a 1930's movie, but anyway
