there appears to have claims that the United Kingdom and other contries who recieve the Terry Wogan commentary of the Eurovision Final 'should be subjected to serious commentary to promote the quality of the competition', ie: sir terry should go.

Yes, I think if they're going to introduce a 'quality' component to eurovision, at least the first place they should start is with the acts. Then the presenters, and finally, if they get that far, to a commentator, which they wouldn't need if the rest was already quality as it would speak for itself. All Terry would be left to do is drink and say 'now wasn't that great'
