Eurovision Review: Latvia

Sorry it has been a while with these. I know my reviews are being missed so to catch up on missed time I will be reviewing two every time I have the chance. Tonights first review goes to Latvia, for no other reason except I have not done anything starting with "L" yet. maybe I should have done Lithuania though because I was not entirly impressed with Walters & Kazha - "The war is not over".

We rose to break chains of slavery,

Some reminants of the past cannot be shaken... maybe thats why "The war is not over". going back to the Eurovision song, this song was a little like "more than words" by extreme or "be with you" by Mr Big... nice little balady songs, but really who cares for this kinda stuff anymore. when was the last time an accustic ballad was number 1? I am thnking the early 1990's

I wont be overly critical of this song though because Latvians have a history of passion about thier music. The most famous concert by latvian band Pērkons resulted in the destruction of a train compartment by the young people who had attended the concert, they take rock very serious those young latvians.

hhhmmm but as the lyrics say "That someone’s the loser ". yeah sure Walters & Kazha - "The war is not over", but quit while you're ahead
