Tom Dice: Me and My Guitar
is it just me or does sound a little bit like American 'softcockrock'? a pretty boy with a guitar and a 'distinctive voice' singing in Eurovision, must be phlegm-ish.
Belgium didn't have an internal contest this year, instead the Belgian broadcaster chose tom internally, citing his distinctive voce and TV experience factors in his selection (note: no mention on his being an immense talent). Yes Tom has had tv experience... he has had alot of experience... at coming second. He was second in Belgium's version of X Factor, second for best new artist in the TMF (Belgium Dutch music) Awards, and at best in Eurovision he will finish second... at best.
This isn't a bad song. I mean if this was on the radio, I wouldn't change the station to avoid it. it isn't a stand out song though. nothing really happens in it. it is a toilet break song because lets face it, unless he has a major fvck up on the night with his performance, you aren't going to miss anything if you go off and pee.
In light of this song only being able to get a maximum of second, I think I will post the song form the last time Belgium came second... from 1978. wait for him to come out from behind the piano. Jean Vallée - "L'amour ça fait chanter la vie" ("Love makes life sing") and seriously if love makes you sound so miserable when sing, break up with her mate...
