Set and Match

I know people think they are being helpful, but setting me up generally goes pear-shaped.

once a friend tried to set me up, but the guy looked almost just like my brother. it was scary (nice guy though, still friends on fb)

another friend has twice tried to set my up with her husbands best friends. the first died of Leukemia and the second choked in his sleep while having an epileptic fit. after that she stopped trying to set me up with her husbands best friends because... well she wanted him to have some friends.

then there is sith_jester, who I am not talking to atm after he decided to set me up with a guy that he doesn't even know by giving them my mobile number without my permission. apparently it is not the first time he has tried to set me up though. apparently he has attempted real people that he knows, but I don't know of any of these attempts and who they are so...

there have been other occasions too but with those I have apologised because I have had a crush on someone else at the time and even though they are a nice person, I am just going to friendzone them. that's just setting them up for a fall and it isn't nice

and now I have another friend trying to set me up.

in another chat on FB I was discussing a friends Arsehole husband (manipulative, emotionally abusive prick). when I told my friend about the set ups she said "Meh, they're not all about to die, look like your brother, or cunts. Just most of them."

so can I just be left alone now... send me some cats in a few years, that would be nice...
