Spain/Espagne
Daniel Diges - 'Algo Pequeñito'
This song is really begging for the old days of the Orchestra (old days being about 14 years ago). it possibly doesn't need the girl dressed as a child's doll who just requires a penis to hump the rocking horse, but you can;t have everything, or in Spain's case, you can't have anything.
The performance kinda reminds me of Bosnia and Herzegovina from 2 years ago, except with better singing. The think about Spain this year though it that I have 3/4 time signatures. the song makes me feel like I am on a roller-coaster and I feel like I wanna throw up.
Anyway, I would like to thank Spain for sending Side-show Bob to Eurovision, but I don't think the song is quite strong enough. a Big Four country has to have a pretty bloody amazing song to win and this just wont cut it. Sorry Spain, try again...
Spain has a long and sordid history in Eurovision since 1961. Lalala controversially won for Spain in 1968 (and there are still accusations of vote buying with that one) and hosting the only 4 way tie in Eurovision history (1969), where Spain was one of the 1/4 of entries that won that year. Ever since Spain has failed to win Eurovision. their two wins are more than they deserve with the crud they send. here is Conchita Bautista with 'Estando Contigo' as proof of crud. my ears are bleeding with this one.
