passionpopit appears that Boat anchor 3 is dead. i turn it on and power goes in but beeps dont come out and nothing interesting is happening. i now need a new pc and the worst thing is that all the details i got from when i was looking for a new pc prevously are saved in my email... on the dead pc. the quotes would be no good, but he contacts would be.
the death was always imminant. in the last 18 months
the fan died, and while it was dying, i used thermal paste to no avail before finding a new fan
i added ram because i wanted to
the powersupply died
my modem dies (ok not entirley related but...)
i recently realised my pc was going slow and it occurred to me that my pc was only using one of the ram sticks i had. that was going to be this weekends problem....
